The "Chu" about Prints

We all have that one specific taste that makes our buds pop, or that one specific sent that gets us going gaga, or even that one specific color that’s takes us away to paradise...
Now it might be weird trying to compare all those three things, to fashion right? Well not so for me, when it comes to Prints I always seem to get a combination of all these going off in my head the moment I come across a Chulaap Collection.
I have been privileged enough to have seen his collections showcase a few times both at SA Menswear Week (SAMW) and Durban Fashion Fair (DFF). Which I should probably mention that he scooped up The award for Best Menswear Designer at DFF 2018!
Every time I see those combinations of prints, that shouldn`t really work? but they just do! I get that weak in the knee`s kinda feeling, like beyonce just walked by playing The Blueprint III. I guess this is what I call the "Chu-Factor".
One of the biggest things for me is the amount of Creativity and Diversity that is showcased within one collection, and the resemblance of this in our great country and continent. Thus I am so proud that Chu has also showcased in Barcelona, Spain and is known all over the world!
The biggest thing for me about the "Chu-Factor" was the humility of the man himself, to have achieved so much and yet to be able to speak to him as if you have known him personally for years, in my opinion is of a level of the purest form of soul!
